It is exhilarating to question your conviction, “I need something warm.” In most cases, hot food only makes you warm for a short while and at the same time, a bit tired. The fatigue is explained by the increase in white blood cells, which follows as a defense reaction to cooked, also called digestive leukocytosis.
Although a cooked, warm meal gives a short heat effect, physically it is not possible to achieve a long-lasting heat effect. The digestion of a cooked meal even costs the body a lot of energy, since cooked food is unnatural to the organism.
